review: years ago while working in agoura hills i discovered mandarin express. it was hard to find, tucked in behind the cheveron station on kanan road, but well worth the search. the food was fantastic and dan always cooked each meal to my particular taste. never too spicy, but always hot with the freshest ingrediants. the service is great. kim always remembers my name and how i like my food. now every time i come to the southern california area i always stop by for the food and hospitality. the trees have grown up in the parking lot and it is hard to find, but i always stop by. the seafood is my favorite, but dan 's kelsey grammer 's orange chicken is dynamite too.
i recommend you order the walnut shrimp

review: this is my favorite takeout restaurant. the menu is very good, but better yet is ordering something off-menu like venison, alligator, or a variety of seafood dishes. these meals tend to be a bit pricier than the menu items, but they 're like having a chef in your kitchen cooking up a unique dish every time. i 've never been disappointed with a meal from mandarin express.
i recommend you order the everything

review: kim and dan have developed this small restaurant into a regional favorite, frequented by local celebrities whose pictures adorn the walls. much of their business is take-out, but dan loves to create dishes that look simply beautiful when eaten in the small dining area. best of all, the menu is huge, he creates new specialties regularly, and the food is prepared in a spotlessly clean kitchen. vegetarian dishes abound.
i recommend you order the they are all excellent.

review: i have been a customer of mandarin express for a few years. the food is fabulous! there are many items to choose from for vegetarian and non-vegetarians palates. the food is always hot and delicious. moreover, the service is unsurpassed by any other service i have received in quite some time. the customers are always pleasantly greeted and made to feel at home. regulars are always greeted by their first name with and a cheery hello. but whether you are a regular or not, all customers are treated with equal courtesy and respect. the food is great, the portions are very generous, and the service is outstanding!
i recommend you order the chang 's signature creations- chicken w/ honey mustard sauce and vegetable egg foo young

review: dan and kim (kim alone is worth the trip to restaurant)run the cleanest coolest chinese restaurant i 've even been in. everything is fresh and chef dan (or chang if you want) will cook it your way. special needs? atkins? low salt? no problem. i knew it was a good place when i saw what the chef was doing during a break, reading a cook book!!
i recommend you order the curry. no really it 's great.

review: this menu is amazing! every meat item on the regular menu can be substituted by a vegan alternative, and the food tastes great also. the price is moderate, and quick service. worth the money, especially if you don 't eat meat.
i recommend you order the vegetarian orange chicken
