review: my dad is a sushi lover. so, we decided to take him to sushi house for his birthday. there were total of five people and we decided to try their $100 sushi boat which serves four to five people. we ordered half sushi and half sashimi. we were presented with two huge boats filled with fresh sushi and sashimi. i noticed they use bigger prawns for their ama ebi (sweet raw shrimp) compared to other sushi bars. for dessert, we had green tea ice cream and it was very satisfying. their raw oysters with their " one and only " sauce was out of this world!!! they should call this place, " sushi heaven " instead of sushi house. warning: this place is very popular at dinner time and try to get there before 6pm for dinner to avoid waiting in long line.
i recommend you order the raw oysters, ama ebi, green tea ice cream

review: if you like sushi but hate the high cost and small servings, this place should satisfy you. the prices are the best i have seen especially for the portion you get. the quality is always excellent with a wide range to choose from. it 's always quite busy so it may be hard to get a table, especially at dinnertime.

review: the good: the food here is pretty tasty, varied and relatively cheap. the sushi rolls are huge (like a burrito) and are packed with some good fish. the nigiri are also pretty big and gem-like. the bad: the chopsticks are splintery. the ugly: don ' t even think about going on a friday or a saturday night or the night before a holiday. two-hour waits, exacerbated by the awful wait staff. at best, the service is inattentive (maybe due to the crowds?).
i recommend you order the anything with shiro maguro (albacore)

review: although the food is decent, the service there is enough to drive a customer to never come back. i had to wait first 30 minutes to get seated then another 30 minutes to place my order. at the end of the meal, i place two twenty dollar bills to pay for a $21 meal. later the waiter comes back and accuses us of handing only one twenty dollar. can you believe the service... so absurd.. i used to be a regular but after many terrible incidents, just forget it. i work in a restaurant and i know what it 's like. i am not a typical teenager who doesn 't tip, it is rude to sterotype me on how appear a certain way. there was also a time, when i was waiting patiently on the wait list but when two older gentlemen walked in they got immediate seating. oh man, i wanted to shout. i do have a source of income...and don 't treat me like i 'm some idiot.
i recommend you order the bay island roll

review: i am a frequent sushi eater and lover that this is probably this worst place i ' ve been to in the s.f. bay area. i had 3 bad experiences in 1 night because of this place. 1) don ' t get fooled by the looks. i had the worst food poisoning. i threw up most of the night and on top of that bump appear all over my body. basically, the fish ain ' t fresh. 2) the service sucked! it was overcrowded and there were only 2 servers running around to do everything. i asked the server to get me water and she unpleasantly said " wait! " and left and forgot about it. i had to wait 30 minutes to get a cup of water. 2) my girlfriend left her powder case on the table. we went back to get it and it was gone after just 1 hour. i asked the workers and they all just ignored us. later, they said they don ' t have it. i know from experience in working in restaurants that it is very very unlikely for customers to take other customers ' stuff and it is more likely to be turned in. basically, it is more likely that one of the workers took it!

review: the food was fresh and prepared very pleasing to the eye and palate. the portions were large, so we left quite full! however, the service was almost horrible enough to ruin the experience. they asked us to eat faster and leave so that others could occupy our table. they were pushy and rude in many other ways. so, i would highly recommend getting take-out.

review: while located in a mall, the chefs at sushi house crank out decent nigiris, makis and special rolls that are a few steps above " mall food " . they offer the basic stuff and their own creations - my favorite is mouthwatering bay scallop roll (baked bay scallops in a savory sauce atop california rolls.) their popularity and loyal following is evidenced by the frequent long waits but they ' ve just doubled their capacity, which will hopefully help. while sushi seems to be the main draw, the menu includes assorted appetizers, various teriyaki offerings, udon, tempura, and combinations. (i ' d say stick to the sushi.)
i recommend you order the bay scallop roll
