review: this tiny little place on solano ave. by san pablo doesn ' t look like much from the outside, but it is the place for some great sushi. sushi bar is small so be sure to make reservations. tatami room is nice - reservations also w/a minimum # of people. onkimo (sp?) - monkfish liver - is superbly smooth and rich (when they can get it in season). cooked dishes also very good - beef and scallion is quite simple yet extremely flavorful. tennis roll is also a winner with a satisfyingly crunchy texture. talk to the sushi chef - no matter who is there that day they can help you find what you like.
i recommend you order the onkimo, 'tennis ' roll
