review: i come to portners usually on sunday mornings for brunch. i always enjoy my meal, but i find that the service leaves little to be desired. i drink iced tea, and drink quite a bit while eating breakfast. rarely, have i found a server who is on top of the refills, or bringing the check without a long wait. but, the food? very, very good.
i recommend you order the eggs benedict

review: i was on a business trip to alexandria from charleston wv. i ate at some great places, but portners was the best by far. the blackened salmon caesar salad was great. the services was great. took a little long to get our food, but worth the wait.

review: we arrived early (5pm) and there was only one other party seated in the atrium. we were put at a small table for two in the back that had the a/c hitting it full blast. it was miserable. when we asked to change seats they allowed it but were downright rude. we live in old town and have been there several times. the food was not good like it usually is. it was not awful but it was very disappointing. i went from being a regular customer to not returning.
