review: after reading the "o.k. "review from 18 nov 2002, i still made the trip to scupper jacks. as with a lot of negative experiences, i think the reviewer may have caught a bad night. my wife and i arrived about five minutes to opening only to be let right in with a smile and our waitress was just as impressive with her demeanor.(i had three glasses of water with my dinner and i never had to ask for any refills or look for our waitress.) the food was better than average and served hot, however, the portions did seem to be on the small side.
i recommend you order the hawaiian chicken

review: the food is good at scupper jacks, but the service is declining over the years. it is becoming hard to get the aging waitresses to come back for drinks order, and a smile would be a good comeback.
i recommend you order the cajun swordfish
